Celebrate yourself

How do you celebrate yourself when you really deserve it?

I'm not talking about self-care or well-being which is part of taking care of ourselves everyday.

Celebrating yourself is something much more.

It's:
- recognising that you have achieved something significant, that was challenging.
- being proud of yourself for what you have committed to, worked hard for, and achieved.
- acknowledging your own effort, your own courage and bravery in putting yourself out there.

It is taking a moment to just stop and celebrate the best parts of you, which have shown up and taken you to new heights.

Taking the time to acknowledge and celebrate yourself when you HAVE DONE SOMETHING GREAT is so important. It's being proud of who we are, and recognising when we have turned trials into triumph.

Which is why I loved attending my close friend  Nina Christian's book launch last Thursday.

The night was just beautiful - because we were celebrating her massive effort and accomplishment of becoming an author.

With a sparkling view of Sydney harbour, champagne, and a room full of fascinating people who knew Nina from all walks of her life - it was a beautiful celebration of her book, the friendships she has made, and the people she has professionally helped.

Her book "Marketing Me" is about building your personal brand in todays AI world - where people are seeking not just information but authentic connection.

And that was exactly what the night celebrated - deep connections across different networks, professions, years and achievements, deeply aligned with her values and essence.

Writing a book is a labour of love, hope, frustration, commitment, joy and fear - all bundled up into 50,000 of your very own words. Putting it all "out there" for the world to see!

Millions may read it. Millions may not. Regardless, a book is a testimony to who you are and your courage to be seen.
