Share a life of love

Yesterday I had the privilege of hearing from Susan Hunter about how we can improve our life quality and longevity through genetic testing and personalised longevity wellness regimens.

This completely makes sense. Rather than guessing what I need in the vitamin aisle I can be specific.

Of course some of it I know (eat well, exercise etc. etc). But by understanding my specific genetics I can be more targeted.

This will add to the quality of my health and longevity of my life.

And it’s not just genetics.

There is also a lot of research on emotional longevity. Reframing your mindset to be growth oriented and “learning” rather than feeling you have failed.

Letting yourself feel all emotions - and then release them.

Worrying less about things you can’t change.

Feeling valued and connected to others.

The remote island off Japan - “Okinawa” has the highest life expectancy in the world. Detailed analysis done by the World Economic Forum and Blue Zones project shows it is a combination of lifestyle factors and emotional connection.

The women - who live the longest say it is having “Moai” - the Japanese word for having a group of lifelong friends.

In other words - they share a life of love.

Quality creates longevity. It is about the whole - healthy body, mind and spirit.

Next time I can feel my frustration levels rising and my inner Karen threatening to explode - I’m going to (try) and let it go.

I’m going to picture the people I love, and how lucky I am to have them.

And remember whatever I’m annoyed and frustrated about - is not that important.

It really isn’t.
